Linux users guide
- Insert the SIM card (after removing the PIN code) and connect the serial cable to IperSMS, better described in the Windows installation.
- Install (if not already present on your PC) terminal emulation program, like Minicom.
(For example, on Ubuntu, you can use Synaptic).
- Once installed Minicom, open the Terminal from Ubuntu and digit minicom -s for configuration
- Therefore configure Minicom on the COM1 (if you have connected the seriale cable on connector COM1 of PC) (COM1 is equivalent to /dev/ttyS0) and on 9600 8 N 1 as settings, then save with SAVE DFL and exit directly in Minicom.
For the future, you will be able to connect simply typing minicom on Ubuntu's terminal
- Feed IperSMS connecting the net adapter and verify the ignition of the LED near to the feeding connector.
- Verify the communication between IperSMS and Minicom and the corrected installation, looking at the screen of your PC.
- From now on you can automatically receive on your PC the SMS sent on your SIM card.
- The SMS will be received in international format (see Windows Installation for further information)
